Today we announce the release of 3D TIMON Extreme Suite (as we call 3D TIMON XS) for all injection molding CAE software users. 3D TIMON XS, incorporating requests from users to a maximum extent, has been newly reborn as a CAE tool that ensures efficient analysis, simulation, and designing of plastic products. To achieve productivity growth in association with analysis activities, 3D TIMON has evolved to a better system with renewed user interface and high speed performance of Pre/Post, and you can make the best use of its many superb functions while maintaining user-friendliness and simple workflow

User-friendlier Interface

The use of injection molding CAE has grown phenomenally during the last decade and it is now a requirement that a user can import three-dimensional CAD data and analyze it as a routine work in a stress-free manner. The primary goal of 3D TIMON is to provide a user-friendly CAE system that minimizes user awareness of special skills and operations considered necessary for analysis. 3D TIMON's intuitive operation procedure and systematic configuration, which incorporates a wide variety of functions, realizes a smooth transition to the new operating environment and helps to achieve increased productivity of your analysis efforts.

Leverage Your Own CAE Assets

3D TIMON XS provides the traditional file format (V7.4 or before) for input/output to solver. This minimizes changes to the system for secondary use of 3D TIMON analysis results you have established. An analysis model (of solid and shell elements) created by other general-purpose Pre/Post can be also read in universal file format as it used to be. In addition, an up-converter is available for V7.4 project files. 3D TIMON XS may produce new findings of your analysis results.

New Job Control Function

3D TIMON consists of multiple modules: Pre/Post to create analysis model and view analysis results and analysis solvers including FLOW, PACK, FIBER, and WARP. Optional modules can be added: OPTICS for plastic lens birefringence analysis, INSERT for insert overmolding analysis, and SUPER-THIN for superthin LCP products.

For Next Generation Injection Molding CAE De Facto Standard

The CAE will enter the new world of large scale model and simulation with high accuracy yielded by parallel processing and 64bit OS. In pursuit of further possibilities of three-dimensional injection molding CAE from warpage analysis of solid model to insert overmolding analysis, birefringence analysis, superthin LCP product analysis, 3D TIMON XS is a new born platform to evolve into the next generation CAE system. 3D TIMON XS aims to become a de facto standard for the next generation injection molding CAE.
